You may know that I am working on a ELL project with a small team around
Apollo 11. We're trying to figure out how to recount the story of the event
in 10 minutes. As part of our story, we plan to use actualities, but we need
to give the actualities context. We may give the students a handout and have
them refer to that during the presentation, but we're not sure what else we
can do. We're torn because it's tempting to try to write something up and
pre-record it, but I also feel that could be problematic. On the other hand,
if we do it live, how do you make it repeatable?
The rest of our block will be devoted to experiments and having the students
play with the props we bring.
Bottom line: We're stuck. I know writers face challenges like this all the
time, so I thought you might have some ideas. So, do any of you have
suggestions for how to make this work? Thanks.
