Dear NFB Writerly Friends.

 

Ordinary, dismal days like this one bring wonderful surprises - 

This is an ordinary day with rain and the anticipation of snow – which I
love.

 

I’ve been working on getting art work submitted to a show in Chicago, and
writing checks to pay bills. Ho-hum, just the ordinary things we do.

 

Then, the day has taken a turn to something spectacular.

First, I learned my book cover for Star Signs: New and Selected Poems, has
been named to the TOP FIFTY covers – out of 290 that started out in the Best
Book Cover for December – sponsored by AllAuthor. This is just stunning! I
am so proud of the cover art that Leonore and David Dvorkin did for this
book of poetry.

 

My book cover  will now – today – begin to get VOTES to be in the Top 24 for
this coming week. 

Thank you to all my NFB friends and  supporters for Voting for my book
cover. 

Please keep it going – and hope we make it to the top 24 next Saturday.

But my next surprise is that Sally Cronin has featured my book  - Star
Signs: new and Selected Poems -  to be the FIRST book on her POETRY SECTION
at Sally’s Café and Book Store (in the UK), and it is featured in her
Christmas Book Fair  that came out today.

I’ve also been told that another big surprise is coming up – and I will make
that announcement soon.  My One Word for 2019 has been SHINE – as in all
areas of my personal, private, and professional life.   Working with the
wonderful people I have encountered in this NFB  writers group has ben a
