Robert,

I remember this story, and still think it is very well written. Yes, you explore the difficult topic of colors, so important in the world where vision is key, and so pointless to us who are totally blind. And you explore emotions, trying to tie them to colors, which is a difficult task. But you make us feel for the narrator, you give us his internal conflict and a somewhat ambiguous resolution-- all of which build a pretty great story.
