I love your background information part! I think in this particular case you have to write for an eight-year-old because that is the mi.le age of the group and you have done that. I'm still not fond of that intro, though. I wonder, without getting into the whole thing about the Soviets and us being in the Cold War, if you could say that we were having a race with them and they made it into space first. After all, who doesn't want to win a race? This is coming along beautifully. Great job!
