Friday greetings for the first of the year.
I wanted to check in with you all to say I hope your new year plans are
about ready to be in full-swing as we take off in 2019.
I'd like to hear about what the members of this group are working on or
planning in their writing life in 2019.
Are you setting any kind of writing or publication intentions for the year?
What sparks your interest as you think about the new year?
I'll be getting a 3rd book published this year - and probably my first
chapbook, too.
I hope to do lots of writing on my 2 blogs - they have more than doubled in
readership this past year. December was an all time high in visitors, and
my mailboxes are filling up daily with contacts from readers. It keeps me
hopping but that is a good thing.
I'm in the beginning stages of writing my 4th book - have it outlined and
will be working on the stories that will be placed in my outline.
This would be for publication in 2 years, if all goes well.
I also plan to continue promoting the work of many other writers on my
blogs. I love sharing the work of other writers and authors.
I love networking and promoting - and that will not change.
Today, I've been working on my stats for my 2 blogs - looking over those
stats and analysing them.
2018 was a remarkable year of over-the-top publications and remarkable
events for me.
I pray that 2019 will be a great year for us all - I chode my ONE WORD for
the Year - which I started doing 5 years ago.
My ONE WORD is SHINE. Like the kind of SHINE I learned about in a song in
Bible School as a young child. That kind of SHINE, that lights up the world
all around me and lifts others up -
"Let it shine! Let it shine! Let it Shine!
This little light of mine - I'm gonna let it shine."
While working on the stats today, I discovered my Most-Visited blog article
of all time, on SCAN, is a memoir called, "The Connie," which I first
released in 2016.
I just did a blog post in celebrating this story which you may enjoy
reading.

I look forward to reading your stories and poem here at NFB Writer's
Division this year.
Thank you for your friendship, advice and encouragement over the years.
