Vejas, first of all congratulations on the publication of your piece on Jury
duty. That is wonderful and I applaud your achievement. You are a good
writer and I love to see you getting your work out to the public. Keep it
going.

Barbara, WOW, to write 13 poems is a good goal. I bet that you will do it
this year. I never really set an amount of work to be done in a month - but,
I think it is a good way to go. Since I am retired, I can write every day
and most days, I do. I find it difficult to write between the spaces of
livingness/ I have to know when I sit down to write, I can just keep on
going all day. That works best for me. But some days, I simply have to
write here and there, as I can configure my time in little spaces throughout
the day.

I'd really enjoy hearing about the writing lives of each of you - like how
you find time to write and where you write and what your thoughts are on
getting your work published - or not. With the wide age-range and
experiences of our membership, it would be interesting to hear about, I
think.

I also want to add that Magnets & Ladders has a writing call out right now
for the Spring/Summer issue. It is free to enter your work and they give
monetary prizes which are an incentive. I'd love to see many of the NFB
writers being published there, as well as in the Stylist. They are both good
opportunities for you to get published and I know so many of you would be
successful at that.
Lynda

Every year I begin with two goals: to write more poems than last year and to
write at least one poem in each month. For a number of years now I have not
met that second goal and I sure hope I can beat 13.
