[Stylist] Jury duty Re: Stylist Digest, Vol 177, Issue 6

Agree. It just perpetuates the idea that being blind in-and-of-itself is a reason, an excuse that we aren't capable of doing things. We do far more harm by perpetuating this, serving a great injustice. Not everyone is thrilled with the prospect of serving on a jury, but to allow blindness to be the reason why, it places us 100 steps backwards in achieving equality and fair treatment.

I am just wondering, how can being blind be a justified reason to get out of jury duty?
