I also served on a jury several years ago and was glad to do so.

I am just getting back from furlough, and am just getting caught up, so I won't write expansively on my experience now.

Vegas
I also read your article about jury duty in the Braille Monitor. I thought it was timely, well put together, and so very encouraging.
I also have always wanted to serve in that capacity. It is my hearing that disqualified me. And I am sure my age has something to do with it.
Keep writing about these pertinent subjects.

Hi Chris,
I'm so glad you enjoyed my article. (I have another that should be out soon).
That's unfortunate that you didn't get called but very encouraging that there was a blind vendor. I think that their choice not to ultmimately have me as an alternate was for two reasons. First, since my teacher was also one, they were probably concerned I'd be influenced by her even though I clearly stated I would not be. The other reason was because of an honest response to a question that I was given. I was asked if I would judge someone who had already committed multiple crimes and my answer was yes.
Yes, next time!
