Kris,

I am not sure of the exact place my husband and I skied. I do remember, however, going to Bear Mountain to watch the ski jumping competitions. At the time, my husband was the business manager , and I was a teacher of physical education at Ramapo District 20, I think, Schools located in Spring Valley. Y.

We went skiing with another couple, Jules and Laurie Zimmer, and he gave me some instruction and he got to be a very proficient skier.

Clarity is just questioning having eaten its fill.

Bridgit and Jackie, thanks for sharing your skiing adventures with us. Bridgit, I’m sure you are in good enough shape to snow ski, but as I mentioned before, the problem with skiing blind is you have to go down with an instructor, and these instructors have strict instructions that you only go at a snail’s pace. So you do exert a lot of energy simply by fighting gravity.

Jackie—do you remember where you skied in the Catskills? I live in Western Connecticut, right on the New York border, and I used to ski in the Catskills at Hunter Mountain and Mt. Windham many times.

Jewel, you did relay the story of your name, but I agree—it could have been more literary! Smile. Thanks for sharing.

Chris
