Dan

Welcome to the NFB writer’s division.

My name is Shawn Jacobson. I generally write science fiction but also write some poetry, occasional creative non-fiction and have written a couple of book reviews. Many, though not all, of my stories feature blind charactors.

I don’t do computer gaming, but my son is very much into that. I’m a little old school I guess.

Subject: [Stylist] a very happy introduction from a brand new writers devision member

Hello and good morning everyone, my name is Daniel Perry and I’ve decided to join your wonderful list at the suggestion of a very beloved friend who herself is a professional writer, life long friend and fellow federationist. I’d love to become a professional writer and my first bits of content will probably be articles about video and computer gaming from a totally blind person’s perspective as well as one that will educate the public on what it truly means to be blind, and my hope with that one is to try to debunk some of the extremely popular myths and misconceptions that we as blind people deal with on a daily basis as well as those that just quite frankly drive me up the wall. Have a wonderful day to you all and I’m really looking forward to all of your feedback because I know it’s going to help me grow as a writer and to earn an income since this will be my primary business. Please understand that I am fully aware that I’m not going to make the million dollars doing this but I would like to get this going to such a degree that I’m able to live comfortably. Have a wonderful day again and I look very forward to getting to know a good many of you.

P.S, I also have an account on smashwords.
