Barbara, I've not read the book but it sounds wonderful. You will probably
be inspired to write poems from this experience.
This is how my book, _Star Signs: New and Selected Poems_ (Published 2019)
started - I wrote a poem, "Star Signs," which is an abecedarian poem. The
poem was published and recorded at Wordgathering. From there, I had the
spark of inspiration to gather a collection of poems into a book based on
the Genesis 1:14 description of the creation of the heavens. Please share
your poetic inspirations with us as you proceed to do this project.

This is what I read, and I organized my book into sections based on this
ancient text:

___Genesis 1:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate
the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times,
and days and years,___

I was fascinated with the purpose of the stars - "separation of the day and
night" and "to mark sacred times, and days, and years."
This was reflected in the organization and selection of poems in the book.

Reading a book can be the backbone of inspiration for us.
They are living things.
I have a select few books that are always nearby on a table beside my
computer in my office. Those are "go-to" books where I find inspiration and
books that I read from over the years - they are mentors to me and each
time I read them, I find nuances that make me stop in my tracks and
contemplate the mystery.

I've come up with another harebrained idea! A few years ago I found a book
entitled The Gospel In The Stars and I just recently rediscovered it. I'm
going to write a poem about exactly why the Heavens declare God's majesty.
This has been a very interesting read so far and I'm only beginning Libra.
It started with Virgo. It encompasses mythologies, too, as it pulls together
the stars' telling of the gospel.
