[Stylist] New Again, And Question About Planning and Organizing

Jim,

Agree with Chris. Can you be a little more specific? I primarily write creative nonfiction, but I frequently have ideas for both fiction and nonfiction; like, it's daily. But not every idea comes to fruition, nor do I jot every idea down. Despite being blind (I was previously sighted) I like to spend time with my ideas in my head. I see my ideas play out like a movie in my mind. This helps also with scenic development if and when I start actually writing. I also have a note doc on my phone that I frequently jot ideas down if it's something I don't want to forget. It has phrases, sentences, concepts, ideas, etc. Again, if and when I'm ready to write, I periodically refer to this note to see if anything I've jotted down sparks something. When I have an on-going project, I create a folder on my laptop that often has sub-folders to organize the material I'm working with. Hope this helps.

Bridgit
