Have you ever done NYC Midnight’s writing contests? They have short story, micro fiction, playwriting, and more. The prompts are usually pretty interesting, my first time doing the short story challenge I had to write a story about a wasteful bus driver. I did the 100 word challenge once but don’t remember what the prompt was. If you’re stuck for story ideas this can be a fun way to start one!
