Hi Chris-

I did a quick google search and it seems to reference S.E. Hinton's novel,
The Outsiders. You can probably find a pdf of it and open it and do a word
or phrase search to find it, if it is the right quote you are looking for,
that is.

Subject: [Stylist] looking for a quote

Greetings,

Some years ago, I read a quote about writing that went something like:

Nobody wants to read about a nice, friendly family picnic. They want the
excitement of a family fued, of a drunk Uncle saying something
inappropriate.

I don't remember the quote, but I'd like to find it. I think it might have
been from Chekhov, or another Russian writer, but I just can't remember.

Anybody got a clue?

Thanks,

Chris
