Subject: [Stylist] Working with an Editor

Hello stylist,

I have an initial offer of publication (contract not signed yet) on my science fiction novel by an independent science fiction press. I’m extremely excited!

I’m trying to get a poll of other blind authors and how they work with their editors. Most sighted people are suggesting track changes, but I have very good tech skills and find it to be inefficient and cumbersome on any platform I try. So, with that said, what are your alternative techniques for getting the work done? I have a few ideas but wish to submit a few to the publisher and see if the editor there would take any of them.

In addition, if you have gone through a traditional press and have signed a publishing contract, pleas email me off-list. It has been recommended that I find an attorney well-versed in publishing contracts to review it before I sign anything and to make sure I understand the terms. However, google is failing me miserably. The proceedings would take place in the state of Colorado.

Thanks all for tips, and I’ll keep you apprised of how this goes, Chelsea _______________________________________________
