I want to address something I've been thinking about lately.
I have an idea for something that could be used at smaller dog shows to help
anyone learn about the dogs during group judging.
If anyone has seen the Westminster dog show, there is an announcer giving
the audience background and information about the dogs. But at smaller dog
shows, that's not always the case. I thought: What if there were an audio
buyer's guide to dogs that could be used at any local dog show?
I envision this as either an app, a device similar to the audio players at
museums, a web-based database, or all of these packages. The narrations
would be done by skilled talent.
Most of the web sites I've seen have good writing, but I'm not sure if
they're suitable for a talent to read aloud. The Complete Dog book may or
may not be adaptable, but I'm not sure. The writing is OK, but since I want
something that can be narrated, I wonder if there's a need to create it from
scratch.
I hope to work with a small team in the long term, but for now, it's just
me.
Here's a dog description from one of the web sites I've found.

Please contact me, either on this list or privately, to offer your thoughts.
Thanks.
