Dear Friends,

I'd like to invite you all to my book launch interview  about my debut
novel, The Devil Drinks Monsoons, with Annie Chiappetta on Thursday,
November 6th at 8:00pm EST, 7:00pm CST, 6:00pm MST, and 5:00pm PST, Annie
will be interviewing me, there'll be a reading or two from the book, then a
question and answer period. I hope you all can come and share this time with

Dark currents swirl just beneath the surface of everyday life in New
Orleans. Although elderly private investigator Richard doesn't believe in
supernatural forces, he and his blind neighbor, Molly, must confront the
occult when one of Richard's own vigilante killings goes wrong and his
equally-elderly girlfriend, (unbeknownst to Richard, a vampire queen,)
becomes obsessed with Molly's baby. Richard's lesbian biker daughter, a
Voodoo priestess, a martial arts instructor, two sex worker colleagues, and
an undead mama's boy are just a few of the other characters orbiting him in
the Big Easy, where nothing is easy and magic flavors everything.

Susan Sparrow is a visually impaired author, dreamer, and extroverted
introvert living out her current incarnation in human form in New Orleans
while working on her next novel. An historical revenge saga beginning in the
1700s, it traces the imagined effects of a generational curse set in place
by a real-life outcast French nun. She's also working on another
supernatural thriller about an immoral and immortal cat who is killing the
people who disrespect her. 

When not writing, Susan can be found memorizing drinking toasts in diverse
languages or transcribing the epic poems whispered by her companion
tortoise, Gordon Ramsay. The Devil Drinks Monsoons is her debut novel.
