[Stylist] Establishing New Blind Writing Group

Hello Natalio and everyone,

A Facebook Group is a nonstarter with us, But a blind writers group with an e-mail list independent of any organization of the blind has my vote. I'm in the midst of writing my book. The first full chapter will be completed in the next few weeks. It concerns our hosting a Quinceañera for the daughter of the lady who cleans for us. Her and her husband's marriage ran a ground last February  and has created serious issues for Samantha and her daughter Leila. Being nonhispanics we knew zilch about hosting a Quinceañera, but created an experience that family will remember for the rest of their lives especially since a Quinceañera has never occurred in that Fernandez Family. With reimagination juices flowing Leila's Quinceañera was an off-the-charts event complete with limousine shuttles, a concert by gospel musician Matthew West and the event concluded with a fireworks display that lit up the skies of San Antonio. You'll be able to read the rest of the story when my book is published.

	As for the new groups online presence meeting folks where they are is very important. Once I know the name of the new group I'll be glad to help create its Internet presence including butt not limited to a Facebook presence. In time the group could also establish its own Website and presences on YouTube, Instagram, Bluesky and Mastodon. This is a wonderful idea!

Hello everyone,

I know that this email list is being discontinued and there is talks about potentially creating a new writing community. I’m not sure what’s all been discussed but here is my idea. Perhaps we could create a Facebook group for Blind and visually impaired writers? In that group, we can talk about everything writing related, maybe even do a book club, and so on. If you guys like this idea or you guys have an ongoing conversation somewhere about this, I’d love to talk about it further.
