[Stylist] Establishing New Blind Writing Group

I think more folks use email than Facebook. I personally find Facebook a bit frustrating  for posting and I am an admin for three groups and find it inconsistent and crazy-making. I do find great calls for submissions, though. So I guess I am on the fence using it for a group I'd want to be more deeply involved with, JMO.

Also, Facebook is social media and if anything I want to be taken seriously by a publisher or magazine, it cannot show up in any form on the web, including Facebook, blogs, etc. A private email list, however, is safe in this respect.

So if the group is only for information-sharing, submission calls, and other writing materials to improve writing, it would be okay but I already have all my go-tos for that kind of information now. At least an email list would have more flexibility with sharing writing from one another and be a bit more intimate.

Hello everyone,

I know that this email list is being discontinued and there is talks about potentially creating a new writing community. I’m not sure what’s all been discussed but here is my idea. Perhaps we could create a Facebook group for Blind and visually impaired writers? In that group, we can talk about everything writing related, maybe even do a book club, and so on. If you guys like this idea or you guys have an ongoing conversation somewhere about this, I’d love to talk about it further.
