Thank you for your message. <br><br>Tanka and haiku in English tend to be free form, minimalist poems that use a combination of juxtaposition, sensory experiences, images and ambiguity to achieve their desired effect. <br>There are no fixed syllable counts. The English and Japanese language is so different in terms of how sound units are counted.
