<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-ZW">Here is another thing that recently came to me. As I am revising and expanding my text for my first published book Concerti: Psalms for the Pilgrimage, there is a long, long poem in it called, “Notes from an Exhibition
at the Rupertinum.” Now, that book has been out for over 17 years – and can you believe that there is a mistake in the spelling of a name in that poem that nobody, including me, ever saw until I found it last week! The name is the artist, The name should
be Gerhard Marck, but in my book it is Gerhard March. They are both German words but sound very different. I would not have noticed it but I wanted to check on his birthdate and death date so I could put the drawing into the proper historical context. That
is when I saw the mistake – after 17 years. It is strange how our eyes deceive us when we are reading – we can just skim over something quickly without actually seeing it. I wrote that book 6 years before I lost sight – so I have no excuse.
