[Tabs] Regional Representative

[Blind Students]

To: All TABS Members
It’s that time again to select regional representatives for the Tennessee
Association of Blind Students (TABS). Each regional representative, if
appointed will serve for a two year term. We are looking forward to a
successful year and we need your help.  These three individuals who serve
as regional representatives will be from each of the three grand regions of
the state: West, Middle, and East Tennessee.  The qualifications and job
duties are outlined below.  For more information or to submit your name for
consideration, please contact President Joshua Harper via email at
president.tabs at nfb-tn.org.
Qualifications:
Must be a member of the Tennessee Association of Blind Students
Must have paid dues for the year
Must be enrolled in a college, university, or vocational training program
Must be flexible with time when meetings are scheduled
Must be able to access email when sending and receiving information for TABS
Must be concerned with the issues effecting blind students
Duties:
Explore and research opportunities that will be beneficial to blind students
Communicate with TABS members to ensure that their accommodations were
implemented  successfully
Recruit new blind students
Contact disability services offices to make sure they have information
 about TABS
Report to the TABS board of directors or at the call of the President
