Hi All,

I’m Jenine Stanley.

I started using braille displays in the early 2000s but have always loved tactile representations and the devices that create them.

To the poster who wanted info on thermal paper, I’m with you. I’d love to hear about any means of creating tactile representations, including the “Old School” methods. I have a machine, don’t recall its official name, that creates raised images on thermal paper but I haven’t used it a lot because I’m not sure what printer to use, ink jet or laser, on the thermal paper.

Freehand drawing using it and thermal paper is fun but not terribly productive for me. If you want real fun with this setup though, get yourself a Spirograph kit. For those not familiar, this is a set of plastic shapes with gears on the edges, cogs actually, and holes to insert a pen or pencil. You can make some fantastic drawings with them, patterns, designs, etc.

Looking forward to learning here.
