It was done using adobe illustrator and a laser cutter on my school. It has two variations, wood and plastic. The wood is painted red from the side which is enables the user to see it much better in the distance. Both rulers has measurements that are divided by quarters. Full inches has a long and wider engraving, half inches are shorter and narrower and the quarter inches are a series of dots. I was planning on doing embossings rather then engravings, but I could not find a machine that will do it for me. I tried going for 3d printing route but its costly and doesn't support my preferred size. <div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">There's another prototype that's not yet physically produced. This will be akin to a click ruler, but like my other ruler the embossing will vary in shape. There will be a slider to let it produce sound, and I'm currently developing acoustics on it to further expand the different pitches. Hi all,<br>

it's a pleasure to share that I was able to organize a Tactile<br>
painting exhibition at my work place.? The exhibit had 16 artists with<br>
vision loss displaying their artworks.? They had created their<br>
paintings in last month during two workshops, the first one was all<br>
about learning to use colors, various tactile material and execution<br>
on canvas.? During the second one, they got to create their paintings<br>
after coming up with interesting themes and ideas.? I was so anxious<br>
how all this will turn out, but I am so glad the exhibition was a<br>
grand success.? There were over 130 visitors, both sighted and<br>
visually impaired who enjoyed the artworks. Local media came down to<br>
cover the event. I am happy that this event was able to spread<br>
awareness among the community about the abilities of visually impaired<br>
in a country like India where disability is still considered a stigma.<br>
