Yesterday I was at a Smart Cities meeting near Denver and Mike Hess of the Blind Institute of Technology was one of the presenters. He was demonstrating his invention called EdgGuide. <o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>It's a navigation system using RFID chips placed in strategic locations in a building that could help guide someone through a museum or library. It only works if the building is set up for that technology. <o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal>One of the things he said is that unless he can carry a tactile map with him throughout the building, a map seems useless.
