Hi
Kyle Rector is a researcher at the University of Iowa focusing her
research on technologies to assist the blind. She had a table and
made a presentation at the NFBI convention last October.
Below is her call for volunteers to assist in her latest project. If
you fit the criteria, why not consider volunteering. (Note the
stipend of $20).

We invite people who have experienced vision loss within the last ten
years to participate in an interview about your experience with vision
loss, barriers encountered because of vision loss, and the strategies
you employ to address those barriers (both technical and
non-technical). This interview could take from 30-90 minutes. This
interview will be audio recorded. Our long-term goal is to develop
technologies to help improve the quality of life of people with recent
vision loss.
We are from the University of Iowa in the Department of Computer
Science. The study will occur over the phone. You will be paid $20 for
participating.
If you are interested, please contact Kyle Rector at
kyle-rector at uiowa.edu or 503-449-1736.
Thank you,
Kyle Rector
