Custodial Worker

The job posting for the Custodial Worker that went out today mistakenly
contained the DAS Job description information. This is not how it was sent
to DAS to be posted, it was somehow added in the posting process. This
description says that near vision is required of a custodial worker. This is
incorrect and discriminatory. I was not aware that this language was in the
class description. I have shared this with DAS and offered to do whatever we
can to assist in making sure that such references are removed from all State
of Iowa class and job descriptions. I apologize for this and we are working
to have the incorrect and offensive assumption removed from our posting as
quickly as possible.
