Dear Elizabeth and all,

I know that we are all anxious to have our sexual misconduct issues solved and to move on from this situation as quickly as we can. The situation has the potential to divide the organization, and to especially make people feel unsafe. I appreciate, Elizabeth, your efforts to that end.
However, the survey message specifically asks that the message not be forwarded to others. The current iteration of this survey was sent to leadership in the Federation—people who serve on boards and as officers of the National Organization, state affiliates, chapters, and divisions.
Others should not be receiving it, especially on a list serve. I would respectfully request that you, Elizabeth, tell people that at this time they are not expected to fill out the survey.
Thank you so much for your assistance in this matter.
Cindy Lou Ray, 1st Vice President
National Federation of the Blind of Iowa

The 3.5-hour sessions will focus on the complexities of sexual misconduct, including power and control dynamics, as well as healthy boundaries and ways to support survivors. At a future date, you will receive more information on how to sign up for a session.

We are asking you to complete this pre-training survey <https://www.nfb.org/libraries/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=19868&qid=4844987> to better understand your concerns and help us ensure that the training is relevant to you and the blind community.

All survey respondents, including training center students, have the option to reach out to the task force for assistance with submitting the survey. The survey should take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and we ask that you complete it within the next 5 business days. If you need assistance with submitting the survey, please reach out to survivors at nfb.org <mailto:survivors at nfb.org>.
