Yes, her presence will be deeply missed by many here in Iowa and throughout the country. I for one was influenced by her and her work in so many ways. Thank you Cindy for passing this on!

Doris was a person who was very important to Federationist here in Iowa from the time she got involved with us in the 60s. We are sad for Curtis’ loss, for it is all our loss.

Hello everyone, with heavy heart, I must report to you that Doris Willoughby passed away this morning. Details about a service to remember her amazing life will be coming soon. Please keep Curtis and their family in your thoughts and prayers. Doris joined the NFB in the early 60's and has been Curtis's partner in the Federation all these years. She was an amazing teacher of blind children, and her work will live on forever. Her textbook on how to teach blind children is still used widely by all the various training programs. Doris leaves behind so many contributions to our movement that it is impossible to capture all of them. Please stay tuned for further details.

Warmly,

Scott
