BLIND EQUALITY ACHIEVEMENT MONTH IS ALMOST HERE!

October is Blind Equality Achievement Month--it is a chance for all of us
to celebrate the work blind people do year-round to advance our rights,
achieve equity, and create opportunities. This year, we are focusing on the
importance of employment. With the right training and opportunities, blind
people are employed in almost any aspect of work from manual labor to
corporate America. We expect employment. Help us raise expectations. Learn
about our Blind Equality Achievement Month [2] activities.

Every day we work to break down misconceptions of what it means to be
blind. We are proud of who we are, what we have achieved, and where we are
going. During Blind Equality Achievement Month, we will be sharing stories
about how our members are living the lives they want through our positive
philosophy, member connections, and the right training.
