Good Evening Federation Family:

Sending the below note from our national president regarding a sister in the movement I have come to personally know during my time as affiliate president here in Iowa. This will certainly leave a void to fill this summer as we will now need to find someone to help shepherd the national organization’s finances as Treasurer. See below for service information. The obituary will be posted at the below link when it is available. Jeannie Massay, like so many others, will be truly missed throughout many parts of the organization.

Celebrating Jeannie Massay

Our friend and colleague Jeannie Massay passed away on May 21, 2022, after a long battle with a number of health conditions. In addition to running a private counseling practice and working towards her Ph.D. she volunteered her time and talent as President of the National Federation of the Blind of Oklahoma and served as Treasurer of the National Federation of the Blind. 

Her family and friends will honor the spirit she shared with us at a service to be held at 2 PM Central Time on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Mercer Adams Funeral Service 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma, 73008.
