[Tall-Corn] Post Convention updates - New leadership in the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa

Congratulations for a very successful convention.  I was muted so could not
address the convention when I was requested to do so.  I hope I will be
granted an opportunity to do so at next year's convention.

Good Evening Federation Family:

This year's convention was a great one, and I appreciate all of you who were
able to attend both in person and on Zoom. We had a few challenges along the
way, but we persevered! I wanted to take a moment to announce the results of
this years elections. Those reelected to the board for two-year terms were
as follows:

President, Scott Van Gorp

First Vice-President,, Cindy Ray

Second Vice-President, Kim Brown

Secretary Terri Wilcox

Treasurer, David Hammel

Board Member, Tom Venesky

Serving his first term, Enrique Mejia was elected to the board this year.\  

The At Large chapter also held its annual meeting at convention, and their
have been some changes in leadership. April Enderton has decided to step
down as president, and Chelsea Van Gorp was elected to succeed her. I want
to take this time to thank April for her leadership of the At Large chapter
since its founding, and I know she will do whatever she can to continue
working with that chapter and the movement. I'll let Chelsea introduce the
rest of that board as she sees fit.

Thanks also to Stacie Gallegos for her work helping to host this year's
convention on Zoom. This was a bit of a challenge with some circumstances on
the ground that were beyond our control, but you kept things going in the
zoomiverse as I referred to it, and your work has not gone unnoticed. Thank
you and RGA Tech Solutions for your assistance! 

One more thing I'd like to do here is publicly thank Sharonda Goode for her
service to the board one more time. Sharonda has moved to Arizona and
continues to faithfully serve the Federation from there. Thank you once
again for your service Sharonda. I know you will continue to serve the
movement proudly!\If you missed the convention, you missed a good one! We're
already thinking about where we go from here, and we'd like to have you join
us! Let's go build the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa!
