[Tall-Corn] State convention update - our national Rep!

Greetings, It is indeed exciting news that Norma Crossby is going to be our
national rep at this year's convention. Both of the Crosbys have been
President of the Texas affiliate and both have served on the National Board
if memory serves me correctly. We need a good turn out at the convention to
enjoy and benefit from the warm and energetic style that Norma brings to our
convention. This year's convention promises a number of very exciting events
having Norma, and I am hoping Glen, with us will add to it.

Good Evening Federation Family:

As part of building excitement for the 2023 convention of the National
Federation of the Blind of Iowa, I am thrilled to announce our national
representative! I first met her at an event in Baltimore, and I have had the
privilege of joining her at several presidential retreats on zoom calls, and
I've also had the pleasure to serve with her on the national nominating
committee the last few years. She currently serves as both the president of
the National Federation of the Blind of Texas, and she is the current
treasurer of the National Federation of the blind. She and her affiliate
most recently played host to the 2023 national convention. She brings a
passion for the movement, and energy as big as Texas itself. President
Riccobono has chosen Norma Crosby to represent him in September here in
Iowa! I challenge everyone to get to Des Moines to give her a big warm Iowa
welcome and show her how we do conventions! Welcome Norma!
