[Tall-Corn] Convention reminders and deadlines!

Good Evening Federation Family:

I just have a couple more things to finish up and then the agenda for the
2023 state convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa will
be complete. Before we get there though here are a few reminders.

*	Preregistration online closes September 1. Preregistration by mail
needs to be postmarked by that date. If you want to guarantee food to eat
and be eligible for door prizes, please pay attention to those deadlines, or
you will be paying more on site!
*	Resolutions need to be into Cindy Ray no later than September 1.

*	If you are interested in either of the two board positions up for
election this yere, please contact the nominating committee chair, Bob Ray,
at 515-334-7231 or by email at bray at nfbi.org <mailto:bray at nfbi.org>  for
more information
*	If you are interested in serving on either the nominating or
resolutions committee, please get with the committee chairs as soon as
possible so that we may fill out those committees.
*	The audit committee is set and will be chaired by Karen Clayton.
*	We are down to the wire on hotel reservations. If you have not made
your reservation with the Holiday Inn, please do so by August 24th! This
deadline cannot be extended as we have been informed there is another
convention going on at the same hotel, so our room block is limited on time
and space! If you want to be a part of all the convention activities, you
will want to get a room as soon as possible before our block is released!

checkout as late as September 17.

 

If you need financial assistance to attend state convention, please get in
touch with me as soon as possible so that I have all of the information to
make decisions based on the funding available. 

 

Our door prize chair, Becky Young, will be sending out information on how
door prizes will be handled this year.
