[Tall-Corn] Joe's Passing

It was sure sad to hear about Joe's passing.  I also have fond memories of
Joe.  Although he could be tough at times, he really did have a caring heart
for the blind of Iowa and of the nation as well.  He truly was active in
communicating with legislators regarding the needs of the blind.  I also
will not forget how he encouraged me to serve as secretary of the Des Moine
chapter in the 1990s.  He put me at ease and knew I would do the job.  I
also remember how Joe and Lora were always willing to provide transportation
to meetings and home if needed.  Even with the health issues he had to deal
with, Joe would not give up but kept active since the issues of blind people
were very important to him.  He was a hard worker in his business which
should be an example to all of us.  Lora, we are thinking and praying for
you.
