Good Evening Federation Family:
It's time to remind you of a couple of important scholarship deadlines. If
you are applying for one of the NFB national scholarships for school, the
deadline is March 31, 2023. More information can be found at
www.nfb.org/scholarships <http://www.nfb.org/scholarships>
If you are attending your first NFB national convention and are in need of a
little extra cash, the Kenneth Jernigan scholarship may be the answer. More
information can be found at
https://nfb.org/get-involved/national-convention/kenneth-jernigan-convention
-scholarship
The deadline is April 15.
In both cases, I will need to be contacted for a brief interview, so please
get with me as soon as possible to schedule those!
Other funding for national convention may also be available through the Iowa
Department for the Blind. Please contact the Department for further
information on using Gifts and Bequest funding to attend national
conventions. It would be best to try for the Jernigan scholarship first.
State affiliate assistance will also be available, and more information will
be coming soon on that process. Let's get as many people to Houston July 1-6
as possible! Please reach out if there are any questions!
