Good Evening All,

Here is the Zoom link for the senior meeting this evening, and all other NFBI Zoom meetings for December.

As Bob mentioned, please do not use any Zoom links previously sent out by Scott, as the meeting ID and password changed.

Feel free to try out the link any time prior to the meeting to make sure it works for you; if it works correctly, you should get a message that says something like “waiting for the host to start this meeting”.

Zoom Info:

National Federation of the Blind of Iowa is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Greetings, Last month we ran into some problems with ZOOM so this month we will try to learn from our mistakes. You will receive a new link to the ZOOM meeting for NFBI activities. Do not use the old links because they may not work. The new one has been tested and seems to be working

This month’s meeting is going to be a discussion of the Meta Smart Glasses. We are continuing to receive requests for information on these so we will discuss them this month.

In January we are planning to have a guest speaker to come talk with us about how to start preparing a search for getting into senior living communities and what to expect from them. This is an area of some real complexity and since some of our members have already started to process and others are just now beginning to look at it we should be able to have some excellent discussions.

Remember in the next few months we will also be having roger Erpelding and Diane Hemphill coming back to talk to us about spring gardening. If you have other suggestions please let us know and we will see what we can find.

The December meeting will be Tuesday, December 3, at 7:00 pm.

We hope that you have had a relaxing rewarding thanksgiving. 2024 has been a year of many things to be thankful for and we hope you have been able to reflect on these joys this week.
