Hello Bob,

Would you please tell me exactly who I would need to contact?

Peace, Intesar

Greetings, There is good news this week in the Iowa Legislature. The House has taken the first to steps for our bill on accessible prescription labelling to become law. John forbes and David Young promised us on the 16th of January that they would take charge of this bill in the House and they did exactly that. First, the two of them filed for it to become a House bill with the two of them sponsoring it showing that it is truly a bipartisan bill. Next, they saw to it that it would be assigned to committee where they had some influence. It was assigned to the Commerce Committee and to a subcommittee chaired by David Young and the two members of the subcommittee were, John Forbes and Austin Baeth. Austin signed on to the bill immediately too.

On Thursday the subcommittee met and the full committee met right after that. The vote in the full committee in favor of our bill was “yes” 22, and “no” 0. We owe a big thank you to these people and now we must get it through a vote for the entire House. Assuming it passes there, it then goes on to the Senate to go through the same process. Is this war over? No, it certainly isn’t. The first battle have been won. Now it is up to us to make sure that it goes the rest of the way. Everyone can play a part in making that happen. Contact your Representative and ask them to support this much needed legislation.
