[Tall-Corn] INFORMATION: Iowa bill SF2268, Related to Service Animals In Iowa

Members of the NFBI are actively working against a bill that has popped up in the Iowa Legislature and could seriously erode the rights and public image of blind persons who use dog guides and for that matter any person that uses service animals. As many of you already know the term "Service animal" has been expanding over the past several years and it has continued to be a source of problems for those using dog guides and many other service animals. 

This bill only adds to the confusion about what are service animals but also adds possible new confusion by asking for even another level of term definition. 

The Legislative Committee of the NFBI is currently creating a list of questions that the members of the State Government Committee in the House needs to be asking before they pass this bill. Time is of importance here. If you wish to write to your State Representative, or any members of the State Government Committee in the next few days it would be much appreciated.
