I have fallen a few times in the courtyard. Fortunately, I seem to be able to fall without getting hurt (fingers crossed).

Hello, Fellow Federationists!

I finally feel a little bit alive!  I’ve been through hell and I want to thank those of you who have been thinking and praying and sending positive vibes!  I can tell that I was walking on the sidewalk in our courtyard when I caught my left toe in an exposed Mediacom cable, which the manager says was supposed to have been buries but wasn’t, so it was just over the sidewalk.  There was no orange cone or other warning marker either.  At Mercy Hospital, the Trauma Team diagnosed me with a subdural hematoma and I’m still feeling shitty, to say the least.  I thank God it was no worse!  I’m at the stage now where I’m ready for company and some of you have offered to help.  So the help I need right now is chit-chat and socialization.  I sleep a lot, can’t concentrate too well, etc., but I’m here and I’m glad to be home!

              Thanks!

Sincerely,

Mary L, McGee, Fundraising Chair
