[Tall-Corn] IDB Director Hiring Update

Good evening All,

Tonight the Governor’s office held a listening session to gather additional input regarding qualities to look for in a new IDB director. The commissioners, interim director Willeford, and the NFBI and ICUB presidents were invited to this private session. One positive I saw from the session is that there is general agreement on necessary qualities, in particular blindness philosophy.
While we were not provided any specifics or timeframes, it sounds like they will be moving forward at some point in the near term with creating a job description and sharing it widely to solicit applications.
That’s all I know at this time.
