It is still helpful to contact the leaders of the Health and Human Services committee letting them know you support the bill. We still do not yet know which committee in the Senate our accessible prescription label bill will be assigned to, but because the funnel is only ten days away, we need to move forward with contacting leaders ASAP.

Below are the names of the three leaders on each of the two likely committees. We want as many people as possible to contact these leaders letting them know that HF2585 (this is still the correct number to use), is important to you and that you would like their help in moving it forward before the funnel deadline.

We need these leaders to know that Iowans care about this issue so they should too. Our biggest risk is that the bill just isn’t considered due to apathy, so the more voices that speak up, the better.

You could say something like,

Dear Senator __,

HF 2585 was just passed in the house this week. This bill is important to me as it will make it easier for myself and other blind Iowans to access our prescription medications. Please help move it forward before the funnel deadline next week.
