My internet and email have been having difficulties this week, and I’m having to use other means to get things done until the internet at home is restored now that my NFBI email is working properly again. The purpose of this email is to answer the question that’s on many people’s minds, and that is when the Iowa Caucus for national convention will be.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Iowa caucus is currently scheduled from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM eastern, or 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM central on Friday, July 9. I have us booked for an hour, but if we go over based on discussions that are happening, that is fine since the caucus window for everybody is 2 hours. During the caucus, we’ll get together to discuss convention experiences, answer any questions anyone has, and go through at least some of the resolutions that will be brought to the convention floor as this will be the only real opportunity I’ll have as convention delegate to get a sense of where the affiliate is at on things in case of a voice vote. One other thing we will be doing is getting an update from the legal team at the national level on things that my be happening in terms of voting reform and our approach here in Iowa. I’ll send Zoom details out next week as the meeting gets closer, but I hope to connect with many of you there!
