The National Federation of the Blind is currently conducting a deep review and revision of its code of conduct standards. While the code remains in effect, the Federation's Board of Directors has agreed to review all code of conduct complaints regarding sexual misconduct, harassment, and abuse without respect to when they occurred. This temporary lifting of the time restriction on investigating reports will be in effect until January 1, 2022, at which time a new time standard will be implemented. The board expects to decide upon the new time standard in the fall of 2021 when it adopts a revised code of conduct. </span><o:p></o:p></p><p><span style='font-size:14.0pt;color:black'>This is part of our ongoing commitment to transformative change and accountability and we want those who have been harmed to have an opportunity to be heard.
