She was born December 29, 1944. She survived being premature weighing in at 2 lbs 1 oz. A true survivor. She loved music, singing ,the opera, and loved her family and friends. As a teenager she performed a dance routine at Carnegie Hall in NYC. She was very independent and traveled without assistance in NYC and was very involved with The Federation of the Blind. Her long time companion Bill Pierce was her soulmate for many years. She is survived by her brother Michael and her sister-in -law Karen and two nephews, Jonathan and Mathew and their families. Every month, they would call faithfully to remind us of the upcoming chapter meeting. They used to go to the Marriott downtown to eat. Sue was a long time Federationist. She seemed to be someone who was held down by her family, but when she came here and Bill Pearce began to help her, she was able to get some independence never before experienced.</span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span></span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span>She was a lovely singer, and a dancer as well? She had been battling the effects of her diabetes and cirrhosis of the liver for quite some time. Her liver was giving out slowly, and toward the end, retained so much fluid that the doctors could not keep up with it. Susan was a great fighter right up until the end. Her brother and sister-in-law were en route to help her move into a nursing home at the time that she passed.</span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span></span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span></span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span></span><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><span>I will be getting more information about how she will be remembered for her time on earth.
