If you are in need of a little help for convention financially, please contact me directly and we can talk about it. There will not be a form this year as I think we can handle things in this manner given the time we have.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Committees are in the process of being finalized for convention. The nominating committee is chaired by Bob Ray. If you have resolutions to be considered, please get those to Cindy in final form by September 1. You may contact Cindy by email at:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="mailto:cindyray@gmail.com">cindyray@gmail.com</a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>or by phone at (515) 334-7231.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>If you are interested in serving on either the nominating or resolutions committees and have not already been contacted, please contact me or the committee chairs and we will finish the appointments.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Door prizes this year are being handled by Becky Young, and more information will be coming out about that soon.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Chelsea Van Gorp will once again be handling convention registration.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I am still working on the audit committee and will share more information once it is finalized.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>There are two other positions of note that will be in the convention agenda. The affiliate fund raising committee is now being chaired by Mary McGee, and we will be finalizing the rest of that committee soon. Chelsea Van Gorp has moved from fund raising to begin her role as NFB Newsline coordinator for Iowa now that the national organization is revitalizing the Newsline coordinator program. We’ll be hearing about both of these items in some detail at this year’s convention.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>These are the updates I have for now, but there is still much more to come.
