His Mother, Barb, told me that he had five different phones, each with its own active number and password, which they are not able to access, except for the one he was using. When he was found in his recliner, he was holding it. <br><br>Brian loved the Kitchen Sink cookies from Aldies, and every month, when I brought a snack to our meeting, he would ask me if that's what I had brought. On the occasions that I had, he would be so happy.<br><br>Brian loved to volunteer to be on almost any sub-committee or task force, and always offered creative ideas.<br><br>At our most recent holiday event, Brian was tranquil and serene. He had a shy smile on the whole time, except when tearing into his hot french fries with joy alongside his tablemate and partner in crime, Michael. They told everyone within earshot that hot fries really must be eaten first and fast, and must not be shared.<br><br>Lastly, Brian had made a good start on a full beard. When we told him that he looked like Santa Claus, he laughed merrily, and said, "That's what my Mom tells me!" He was very happy that day. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"comic sans ms",sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(153,0,0)"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"comic sans ms",sans-serif;font-size:large;color:rgb(153,0,0)">Santa Brian is no doubt looking down on us now and saying, "Ho, ho, ho. Brian was a longtime member of the At Large Chapter. I didn't know him as well as Julie did. He was on Julie's calling list so she talked with him every month for many years.<br>

About three years ago, Julie told me that Brian was a nephew to Judy Moehlis. Judy taught at Iowa Braille in the early 1960s and devoted her life to educating children.<br>
<br>
Recently, we have learned of the sudden passing of a couple great friends and colleagues: Kasey Walker and Brian Saucer. And, while it is great to bestow glowing accolades upon these people upon their death, I am thinking we should do more of that with our friends and colleagues who are still here with us. No one knows what tomorrow may bring. We never know if this might be the last holiday we will celebrate with a friend or loved one. So, if there is someone in your life who means a lot to you, consider letting them know how you fell while they are still living. Too often, we neglect to share the positive ways in which someone has impacted our life.<br>

I spoke with Brian's mom today, twice for a lengthy time. She is 92 years old and kind of lost with being everything so sudden. I am hoping to have some more details and information for you all bye tomorrow evening. I am working with her and trying to help, but things are moving slowly. Also, I will have information about his obituary.<br>
