It accuses the administration of former President Joe Biden of finalizing a new rule that adds gender dysphoria to the definition of disability in that section.</p><p data-reader-unique-id="12" style="max-width: 100%; caret-color: rgb(27, 27, 27); color: rgb(27, 27, 27); font-family: -apple-system-font;">Critics claim the lawsuit could have repealed Section 504 altogether, pointing to a section of the lawsuit that asks the judge to declare Section 504 unconstitutional.</p><p data-reader-unique-id="13" style="max-width: 100%; caret-color: rgb(27, 27, 27); color: rgb(27, 27, 27); font-family: -apple-system-font;">“I always have and always will protect Section 504 accommodations for Iowans who need them,” Bird said in a news release. “As a mom, I know that every child learns differently and should have the tools for success, but Biden failed Iowa kids. That is why when Biden and Harris forced transgender ideologies into schools at the expense of kids with disabilities, I fought back.
