It is disheartening reading the responses after Stacy's resignation. I wish<br>
that the blindness community could be better in Iowa. It feels so toxic and<br>
judgmental. If you don't do things exactly as people expect, you are ousted<br>
from it. We all live different lives and deserve to do things in ways that<br>
we see fit. The department should reflect this as well. People should have<br>
choice and flexibility in the services received. I'm grateful for the<br>
work that Stacy has done to support blind Iowans and I'm hopeful that the<br>
governor will pick a director that is interested in supporting all blind<br>
Iowans.<br>
