** DRS and SILC will also hold hearings on proposed State Plan for
Independent Living
------------------------------------------------------------

The 2013 public hearings on the proposed FY2014 VR State Plan will
begin this week. Eight hearings will be held across the state where
the public can provide feedback and input as the plan is finalized.

Public hearings will be held in Memphis, Jackson, Paris, Columbia,
Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville and Johnson City. Prior to the start
of the hearings on the VR State Plan, DRS and the Statewide
Independent Living Council will hold hearings on the proposed State
Plan for Independent Living. This plan is revised every three years.

A copy of the proposed FY2014 VR State Plan can be found on their

Alternative formates are available upon request from any DRS regional
supervisor or by contacting VR via the website.
